Cerebral Palsy/Erb’s Palsy
What Is Cerebral Palsy?
Cerebral palsy is a condition that impairs motor control and other bodily functions, and is commonly caused by a lack of oxygen or injury to the brain as a child is born. This condition is characterized by spasms, slow motor development, bone deformities and many other symptoms.

What Is Erb’s Palsy?
Erb’s palsy results when a cluster of nerves known as the brachial plexus, which runs from the neck to the arms, is damaged during birth. Many times, this damage is the result of tearing or stretching that occurs when a doctor improperly delivers the child. This results in paralysis and other long-term complications.

How Can A Medical Malpractice Claim Help?
Both cerebral palsy and Erb’s palsy cause life-altering damage that can affect the child for his or her entire life. The additional heath care, developmental assistance services and other needs of these children can become prohibitively expensive; a medical malpractice claim against the medical provider who caused your child’s injury can provide the compensation necessary to pay for these vital services and give your child the means to grow and thrive despite his or her injury.
